Working Principle of Vertical Shaft Impactor (VSI Crusher)

Vertical Shaft Impactor (VSI Crusher) essentially uses a high-speed rotating rotor to impart kinetic energy to materials, which then undergo impact crushing and shaping. It is widely used in sand shaping, manufactured sand production, and fine crushing of stone materials.

Core Working Process

1. Material Feeding: Stone materials enter from the top of the machine and fall to the center of the high-speed rotating rotor.
2. Acceleration and Ejection: The rotor has internal flow channels, and the high-speed rotation of the rotor generates centrifugal force, flinging the materials out at high speed from the ejection ports around the rotor.
3. Impact Crushing:
   • Materials impact the impact blocks/lining plates on the inner wall of the crushing chamber at high speed;
   • Meanwhile, the ejected materials collide with the falling materials.
   Crushing and shaping are achieved through impact, shock, and friction.
4. Discharging: The crushed materials are discharged from the bottom. The finished products have a good particle shape with few needle-like or flaky particles, making them ideal for high-quality manufactured sand production.
